The Story:

While my husband and I were having dinner at a restaurant, my phone battery was low, so I turned it off to save the remaining charge. On the way home, I suddenly panicked because I couldn’t find my phone. I checked my bag and searched the car, but it was nowhere to be found.

I was sure I left it at the restaurant. My husband was irritated, but we drove an hour back. With the help of the manager, we searched everywhere, but there was no sign of the phone. Then, I felt my jacket pocket and realized my phone had been there the entire time.

Embarrassed and not wanting to admit the truth after all that trouble, I told them I’d check the restrooms. When I came back, I pretended I found it on the toilet tank. I’ve decided never to tell my husband what really happened.
