Everyone knows twins have a special bond – some claim they can even read their thoughts. It’s hardly surprising since the siblings spend nine months together in the womb. However, seeing evidence of that bond moments after twins are born is pretty shocking, yet that is precisely what two newborn sisters showed last summer. Ceci, the girls’ mom, who recently graduated college with a nutrition degree, posted a video of her daughters reaching out for each other’s hands and holding onto each other while nursing.
The nurses, who had seen hundreds of births, commented on how they had never seen anything like it before.
Ceci, in fact, told Buzzfeed that the daughter on the left was born first and was the stronger of the two. Another girl barely passed some tests, and Ceci suspects her sister knew that the younger one needed some strength so she held her hand. In these days, the girls look quite different and also behave differently than when they were newborns.
Ceci explains that, at 14 months old, one of her daughters gets annoyed by having to share while “the other one is nicer.” When she takes one of her daughters shopping and leaves the other with their father, they don’t notice if the other is missing.
