Funny Moment When Woman Realizes Stairs Disappear During Construction

Olivia Crump was shocked to discover a large chunk of her staircase missing when she stepped outside of her apartment. TikTok user tweeted a picture with the caption: “a princess trapped in her tower

Imagine you walk out of your apartment and, just as you are about to step on the stairs…bam…you realize there are no stairs?

How would you feel? For sure, I would have a full-blown panic attack_ if I were in that situation. Olivia Crump, known to the TikTok world as @foodbattle2008, recently shared with the world the experience of having her stairs removed without her consent.

As Olivia stepped outside to go out, she encountered a major inconvenience.

TikTok begins with Olivia’s view from her apartment, where the stairs immediately outside her door are intact. With a closer look, however, one finds that a large portion of the stairs leading to the ground has disappeared. In fact, tenants are notified in advance when work is being done to an apartment building so that they can make proper accommodations.

Olivia refuses to be impressed by the dangerous stint and claims that this courtesy was not extended to her or the other residents of the building who were equally shocked by the impromptu renovations.

The TikTok video went viral on the social media platform, gaining over 2 million views, nearly 308,000 likes, and more than 1,500 comments.

The majority of people expressed concern over Olivia’s safety and pointed out that this situation could be hazardous in case of emergency.

The video includes text that reads, “When your apartment removes the stairs without warning and you’re stuck for hours ” while the song Hell To Da Naw Naw Naw by Bishop Bullwinkle plays in the background.

Olivia shows a screenshot of the back of a construction worker as they work on the stairs at the end of the TikTok.

Olivia’s tweet simply reads, “a princess trapped in her tower.”.

There were also a few jokes about the situation.

Talking to DailyDot, Olivia said:

“I have no plans to pursue legal action, although I’m sure I could because they were definitely causing a fire hazard.”

“I do think it’s more than fair that they give us some form of compensation for putting us in a dangerous situation without warning, but it doesn’t seem like they plan on doing that!”
