This Tree Chair Was Created By An Artist Over 8 Years

Becky Northey and Peter Cook met in 1995, became partners, and began transforming trees into living works of art they call Pooktre.

Peter and Becky believe that living trees can be shaped and incorporated into the city, bringing life, fresh air, and beauty for hundreds of years with low maintenance.

We have chosen to contribute to the health of our planet by teaching others how easy it is to incorporate trees into our living environment, Becky said.

“We have studied trees for over 41 years, and our method of shaping trees is called pooktre. We have perfected a gradual shaping method to shape trees as they grow according to predetermined designs.”
