Dad, Son, And Daughter Graduate Together: “We Started Strong, And We Finish Strong”

A father and his two children graduated from a branch of Mississippi State University together. 153 MSU-Meridian graduates received master’s degrees in education on Thursday, including Commondre Cole, his son Ja’Coby Cole, and his daughter Iesha Gully.

Commondre’s mother, Mary, shared the good news on Facebook, along with a video of her son and grandchildren earning their degrees. “Everything is mine! They MASTERED it!” it read. Gully, who teaches at Northeast Elementary in the Lauderdale County School District, said, “This is a huge accomplishment for our family.”

“Just keep driving and moving forward, leading by example and showing my younger siblings and family that we are capable. “WTOK-TV reported that we began strong and finished strong. Ja’Coby, who teaches at Oakland Heights Elementary in the Meridian Public School District, said he never dreamed he would be a teacher so soon.

“I knew I had to have a backup plan, so I considered my mother’s, father’s, and sister’s footsteps. Since they are all teachers, I figured it would be best if I followed in their footsteps. Jessica Gully-Cole, a teacher at Northwest Middle School, persuaded Commondre Cole to return to school with their children. Afterward, he said, “We accomplished this, and we are all walking together.”

Cole’s family and a daughter combination from Portsmouth, Virginia, graduated together. Marvin Fletcher, a retired Marine and Army veteran, was surprised to learn that he and his daughter SaNayah Hill, 17, were graduating at the same time from Tidewater Community College.

During an interview, Fletcher expressed his pride that his daughter had completed her studies in emergency medical service as a dual-enrollment student even before she finished her junior year at Deep Creek High School. Yahoo! News reports that the father recently earned an associate’s degree in applied science in management.

“I have been humbled and honored by serving. I admire my daughter’s desire to contribute to medicine in her own way, Added Fletcher, who served in the Marine Corps for four years and the Army for eight, “I had no idea what to say about the incident since it was so exceptional. However, it was obviously fascinating, and I was extremely enthusiastic about the whole thing. “Hill described the strange circumstance.

Both father and daughter attended the graduation march at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia on May 9.
