When you suddenly have seven children, does it take a village to raise them?
Chris and Jessica Milam of Denton County, Texas, have taken on the challenge of adopting seven Filipino siblings who had been living apart for over two years.

Two brothers and five sisters, who ranged in age from five to twelve, had been separated into three foster homes.
Finally, Chris and Jessica can take their children home after an eight-month adoption process.
“From the moment I read their profiles, I knew these were the kids for us. They loved animals, crafts, and plants,” Jessica told Fox 4 News.
“We just moved into an empty house,” she said. We built a house to accommodate kids, so we knew we had space. Being self-employed makes taking care of seven kids of different ages a little easier.”
The judge made it official during the ceremony on June 8.
“I will find that adoption is in the best interests of these children,” the judge said. “I will grant the adoption, change the name, and seal the record. Congratulations.”
This is the moment the kids have been waiting for-to be together again and to have parents who will love them unconditionally.
Each of them said, “Can we just come home with you today?”
According to Jessica. They were trying to negotiate a faster arrival time. They were so excited to be together, but also to have parents who would always be their parents.”
“They were arguing about when they could come,” Chris said.
The couple originally intended to adopt, but never imagined they would be instant parents to seven children. Despite this, they are happy to expand their family.
Besides each other, the siblings also have a few pets.
They said they had two snakes, a dragon, four cats, and a dog.
An outlet reported that one of the little girls said, “It means we’ll be there forever.”
Her older brother explained, “We will have a family to take care of us until we are adults and can take care of ourselves.”
Being a parent, let alone an adoptive parent, requires a lot of courage and determination. Even though raising children is not an easy task, this couple stepped up to the plate.
As a result of Chris and Jessica’s generosity, these siblings have been reunited after years apart. In addition, they now have people they can proudly call “mom” and “dad.”
