Working in the catering industry can bring immense happiness as well as great disappointment in some cases. The job of a waiter, for example, can occasionally be depressing, especially when patrons refuse to tip even a dollar. Tipping is even more important for waiters since their compensation is mostly based on gratuities from customers in the United States. It is sometimes necessary for the waiters to cover the bill if a customer does not pay. Despite uploading a video to TikTok, the young woman won’t have to foot the bill for a group of diners who showed up at her restaurant during her shift and fled without paying.
The young woman in this story was in the middle of her night shift when a party of 11 arrived for lunch. According to the TikTok video, these individuals arrived at the restaurant around four in the morning. They also ordered a lot of drinks. In tears, she said, “They ordered beverages, ate a lot, but when it came to paying the bill, things didn’t go as planned.”.
A waitress drew up a bill for the group of patrons for $ 220, but no one offered to pay it. In fact, this group of patrons benefited from the waitress’ brief absence while she attended to something else. Upon her return, she found that no one was at the table and that only $3 was left, significantly less than the owner’s $ 220.
Rather than the disrespectful $3 tip they left, this waitress was more shocked by the gang’s skipping out on their full bill.
The young woman wrote, “I hope you’re all back home safe and sound, but I hope you feel bad now.”. “You are terrible people who did something evil,” she wrote. This behavior, which is obviously highly unacceptable, is the result of 11 people practically stealing from the restaurant where the young woman works.
