Rolling Thunder first held its demonstration back in 1988. This group aims to make sure prisoners of war and missing service members from all U.S. w_ars are accounted for.
Every Memorial Day, they ride their motorcycles through Washington, D.C. Staff Sgt. Tim Chambers, also known as The Saluting Marine, has been attending this event for years. He stands in his uniform for the entire event.
The video from 2012 below shows a touching moment between Tim and a female soldier. It was a small gesture by the biker, but it was enough to bring tears to my eyes.
