Ben Dixon was eager to sell his late mother’s house in Texas. Just a week after her passing, he contacted a real estate agent to find buyers. To his surprise, a couple showed interest right away.

Ben and his wife, Cassandra, traveled from New York to Texas to meet the potential buyers. As they walked through the house with their agent, Mr. Franklin, Cassandra found an old childhood photo album.

“Ben, look at this,” she said. “Are you sure you want to sell this house? It holds so many memories.”

Ben sighed. “Not all good ones, Cassandra. Mom never told me who my father was, no matter how much I asked. After I moved out, we barely spoke.”

Before they could continue, Mr. Franklin interrupted. “Mr. and Mrs. Dixon, the buyers are here.”

Cassandra smiled and turned back to Ben. He was firm. “I’m selling the house. I don’t want to stay here longer than necessary. And that album? Just put it back. Mom cared more about keepsakes than me.”

Cassandra shook her head. “No way! Our kids should see how adorable you were as a child.”

“Fine, do what you want,” Ben muttered and walked away.

After meeting the buyers, Ben and Cassandra went to a restaurant. While parking the car, Ben noticed Cassandra had left her handbag behind. As he picked it up, the photo album slipped out. Curious, he flipped through the pages.
