Entitled Mom Blocked Our Delivery Spot & Told Us to ‘Work Around Her’—Minutes Later, She Regretted It a Lot

Karma Comes Back Around: A Story of Patience and Respect

One regular workday, I was busy helping my crew set up for a big job. Everything was going smoothly until a stubborn lady parked her SUV right in front of the area where our delivery truck needed to unload.

I approached her car and politely asked if she could move her vehicle. She only rolled her window down halfway and snapped at me, clearly not interested in what I had to say. I explained again that the delivery truck needed to park there, but she acted like it was no big deal. She even suggested we should “just unload around her.” That was the last straw.

Instead of arguing with her, I decided to let karma do its thing. When Jerry, the delivery truck driver, arrived, I told him to park as close to her driver’s side door as possible. This meant her car was now stuck between the big truck and a porta-potty. She couldn’t just drive off whenever she wanted anymore.

As we began unloading the truck, it didn’t take long for her to realize she was trapped. She tried to open her door but couldn’t. So, she had to climb awkwardly over to the passenger side and crawl out, all the while grumbling under her breath and shooting angry looks at us.

Eventually, she stomped over to us and demanded we move the truck. But Jerry calmly explained that we couldn’t move it because the load was unsecured, and company policy wouldn’t allow us to move the truck until everything was properly unloaded and safe. Hearing that just made her more furious.

The woman started shouting and even threatened to report us. But just as she was getting worked up, a parking enforcement officer showed up. Things were already looking bad for her, but it got worse.

In a fit of frustration, she tried to back her SUV out of the tight spot, but she ended up crashing into the porta-potty and getting her SUV stuck on the curb. The loud thud and the sight of her car stuck only made the whole scene even crazier.

The officer quickly stepped in to handle the situation. He asked her to calm down, but she wouldn’t stop arguing and throwing threats. Finally, after some more back-and-forth, the officer decided enough was enough and put her in handcuffs for disturbing the peace and refusing to cooperate.

Meanwhile, my crew and I were almost done unloading the truck. We couldn’t help but laugh about what had just happened. The woman’s impatience and rudeness had only made things worse for her.

The whole experience was a clear lesson: Acting entitled and being disrespectful doesn’t get you anywhere. In fact, it can land you in a lot more trouble than you bargained for. By the time we finished our work, I was just happy our parking spots were clear, and the woman had learned a hard lesson about patience, respect, and the fact that karma has a way of catching up with you.
