Following their swim at the Franklin pool, Pastor Brent Kelley and his children stopped at a drive-thru for some ice cream and witnessed a heartwarming moment with an older couple.
So, Kelley noticed something particularly interesting: an elderly man spoon-feeding ice cream to his disabled wife in 98-degree weather.
When I got my ice cream and pulled out, I noticed an elderly man beside me spoon-feeding his wife, who also looked to be in her late eighties,” wrote Kelley. As he slowly fed his bride, he draped a towel over her….”
The photo of Kelley and the older couple has been shared by hundreds of people since she posted about the incident.
The son of the couple allegedly reached out to the 34-year-old minister after the photo went viral and said his parents were touched by the kindness shown to them in the comments section of the post.
Kelley described it as a beautiful display of love.
