Madison married Jonah Waldron, and at the reception, the groom’s autistic brother gave a moving speech. No one was dry-eyed!
Weddings are all about love. The newlyweds are usually the center of attention.
However, the best man’s speech at Madison and Jonah Waldron’s wedding emphasizes the brothers’ deep love for one another.
Sam Waldron, 23, has autism and has difficulty with social situations, such as weddings. When it came time for him to give the best man’s speech, he spoke from the heart.
After stating proudly that he was the “best brother to the best man,” Sam went on to say that Jonah is his best buddy and hero.
From the moment the groom’s brother begins speaking, Jonah is filled with emotion. He understands how frightening social situations like these are for his younger brother. Even though Sam is terrified, the fact that he is speaking to nearly 200 people is a huge accomplishment.
However, when the groom’s brother shares his feelings, it becomes even more emotional.
He does a wonderful job incorporating humor into his speech, which results in a lot of genuine laughs and applause. As he greets his new sister-in-law, tears and laughter mix as he emphasizes all the qualities that he and his family admire in her.
The tears begin to flow again when the groom’s brother turns his attention to Jonah in his speech.

Sam explains why Jonah is his hero.
Even as a younger brother, you never looked down on me.” You helped me up and watched out for me. “You taught me that being unique is a virtue, not a flaw,” Sam explained. “You were patient and compassionate,” he added. “You accepted me as I am.”
It didn’t take Sam long to get a few more laughs before concluding his speech by pleading with God to bless the happy couple. There were tears, applause, and joyous whoops all around.
Thank you, Sam, for doing such a great job!
This brotherly love between these two is very inspiring. In his speech, the groom’s brother expressed the love of Jesus Christ through Jonah.
