Seven-year-old Clair Koch is fluent in sign language, not because she is deaf, but because both of her parents are deaf. In order to communicate with their two young daughters, Lori and Tom Koch started teaching them American Sign Language (ASL) when they were babies.
The recording below shows Clair signing along with her classmates without any embarrassment. As she sang along, she signed the entire show for her hearing-impaired parents so they wouldn’t miss a beat.
