Man Was Removed From Flight After He Wore A Red Thong As Face Mask

He was kicked off the plane after insisting on wearing a red thong as a mask.

Local media NBC2 reported on Dec. 16 that Adam Jenne, 38, was forced to disembark a United Airlines flight in Florida.

According to the man, wearing the undergarment was in compliance with Covid-19 regulations.

At Fort Lauderdale airport, the aircraft was preparing for takeoff.

Another passenger filmed the incident on Dec. 15.

Wearing a mask is absurd

The purpose of Jenne’s actions, he later told local media, was to demonstrate how absurd it was to force passengers to wear masks on planes only to take them off to eat and drink.

An airline crew told Jenne he could not fly with a thong on his face.

After a discussion, he left his seat.

His ears were strung with the thong, and the thin strip of cloth covering his nose was left hanging.

Passengers engaged flight crew to question whether a man was kicked off a plane for wearing a mask after he was removed from his seat.

Passengers remained peaceful despite the presence of TSA personnel and a sheriff.

It’s not the first time I’ve worn a thong mask

It wasn’t the first time Jenne wore a thong to catch a flight.

Underwear had been worn on his face before, and he told the air crew that it was a mask doing its job.

As United Airlines explained in a statement, “the customer clearly was not complying with the federal mask mandate, and we appreciate our team addressing the issue on the ground prior to takeoff.”
