Mom’s filming parade when out of nowhere she spots her 2 military sons

It wasn’t until she saw her sons marching toward her that she realized her sons were home.

For 25 years, Shannon Conrad and her family have kept a family tradition.

Our family attends the local Fourth of July parade every year.

Residents and community members in Grass Lake, Michigan, look forward to the parade every year.

In Grass Lake, the 4th of July festivities have been a tradition for as long as anyone can remember, regardless of what day the 4th may fall on.

Every year, thousands of participants and visitors attend the parade.

Along the parade route, you’ll see horses, wagons, and antique tractors.

Each year, the parade is very similar and holds a lot of tradition. For Conrad and her family, the 2013 parade was extra special.

We have been doing it for 25 years! It is a family tradition! A Color Guard representing all branches of the armed forces marches at the beginning of the parade. Conrad explained in the caption of a video of her family at the parade that every year they stand and place their right hand over their hearts as a sign of respect.

Conrad surprised her parents this year.

It was assumed that her two sons, an officer in the U.S. armed forces and an officer in the U.S. Navy, were in the military.

They had no idea that they were part of the parade that was waiting to surprise them.

The Color Guard marched this year with my brothers (one is a US Army officer and the other is a US Navy officer) in formation and in uniform. Conrad wrote that his parents were unaware they were even in town, thinking they were at their respective bases.

In total surprise, Conrad recorded her brothers marching by with her camera.

The mom is all smiles, and the dad is picking up his granddaughter.

To get him to pay attention, Conrad had to remind him, “Dad, the Color Guard is coming.”. His mother was also getting her camera ready. She spotted them then.

Suddenly, mom screams,

I can’t believe it!” with her hands shaking.

“What are you guys doing here?”

As she and her dad hug their sons tightly, she is completely overwhelmed.

After the initial shock wears off, tears begin to flow. At that point, she’s not letting her sons emerge from her grip saying, “You’re here!”. It’s actually you!”

As John and Tom marched towards them, the crowd erupted in cheers. ” Conrad wrote. The Color Guard was being filmed with my Mom’s phone for John and Tom to feel like they were a part of our tradition for 4th of July!”

The video below is an absolutely tear-jerker moment.

I would appreciate it if you shared this with your friends and family.
