This Dad Praised For Choosing To Carry His Large Dog Instead His Small Son

This heartwarming video shows a man walking with his small child next to a large dog he is carrying in his arms

Luz Elena, a Mexican, captured a video of a father holding his small son’s hand while carrying a large gray pit bull over his shoulder. The pit bull’s tongue wags as his head drapes over the father’s shoulder.

Elena’s TikTok video, titled “When your priority is your dog, not the child,” shows a father, dog and son crossing the street and walking down the sidewalk.

After reaching the sidewalk, the trio is joined by a woman pushing a child’s three-wheeled stroller or bike that holds a large box.

A TikTok user suggested that the little boy had to walk because his mother stole his transportation.

“No one mentioned the mom in the back with the push trike. Maybe the dog is sick because she put something in the trike.”

According to others, the child’s shoes protect his feet, but the sidewalk was too hot for the dog’s paws:

Another writes, “The puppy’s legs are burning, and the child is wearing shoes, so it’s better to carry the puppy.” Another adds, “He probably feels the pavement is too hot for the puppy’s paws, so he is carrying him.”

The dad was praised for carrying the dog by most users

His empathy and responsibility for his pet and son are evident in the way he takes his son by the hand. One person writes: “Super dad. I would have done the same. Kid has shoes and doggy doesn’t. It looks hot too. Plus his mom was there, maybe he wanted to walk.” Another says about this father’s love for both the child and dog:

This adorable video was posted more than one year ago, but it still gets a lot of attention and has about 4.7 million views.

I love how this dad is showing his love for his dog and child! I wish everyone treated animals with the same respect.
