2-year-old Hugs Pizza Delivery Guy Without Knowing That He’d Just Lost His Own Daughter

The mother of this two-year-old boy called her son’s hug “a blessing from God.”

Sometimes even the smallest gestures can have a profound effect on someone, especially someone who is unhappy. When it comes from an innocent child, it will be even more special. Ryan Catterson didn’t know a two-year-old was going to touch his heart as he went about his day delivering pizzas. Lindsey Sheely’s Rhode Island home was visited by him to deliver a pizza she ordered. The doorbell camera captured a sweet moment between the two. Cohen, Sheely’s son approached him as he was about to leave after making the delivery and gave him a hug.

Catterson reciprocated the love of Cohen by bending down and hugging right back. Cohen’s mother came in to bring her son back inside after the endearing moment. As Catterson walked back to his vehicle, the 2-year-old baby kept blowing kisses at him.” I hope you enjoy your pizza” ” Catterson says in the video. Linda shared the sweet interaction on social media to give others a laugh and “warm your hearts.” But the encounter was more than that.

She wrote on her Facebook: “Last night when we got our pizza (and ranch) delivered, Cohen ran out to hug the delivery guy and tried to give him a kiss, too!  Initially, we thought it was so sweet and funny, but then we realized our doorbell might have captured the interaction on camera, and it did! As it did for us, I hope it gives you a laugh and warms your heart. Even better, I posted this to my Instagram story last night and somehow, it got to the man who delivered our pizza! Thank you, Ryan, for being so kind to our son! We had no idea what Cohen’s hug to this stranger would mean. Ryan saw the video I posted on my Instagram, so he messaged me and I found him on Facebook so he could share it. As a result, we learned that Ryan unexpectedly lost his daughter recently, and that hug from Cohen was a little blessing from God. My faith in divine appointment leads me to believe that Ryan was the one who delivered our pizza for a reason.

Sheely learned that Catterson’s 16-year-old daughter passed away suddenly last week. Catterson said the hug meant a great deal to him. “After losing my daughter this past week, it touched me because I felt like she was there.”. “It really meant a lot to me.”

The toddler’s sweet gesture melted hearts. Afterwards, the post went viral and received a lot of comments from the internet.

“Love this video, kids see so much more than adults” This touched me…There are still good and loving people in this world.  May God bless you and yours family forever.”

“This touched my heart immensely. I lost a baby boy in 1993. My daughter passed away in March 2015 and I lost a stepson in December 2015. My heart goes out to Ryan and his ex-wife.”
