Heartbroken Little Girl Writes Letter To God After Dog Dies

A few days later, a gold box bearing her name and address arrives at her house. Pets are good for children as they grow up, as we all know.

From an early age, they learn to be responsible and take care of others, while also having a playmate, which is especially important for only children.

The dog had been with the family for years and was a true family member. Since Meredith was born, they had played together constantly and created a special and unique friendship.

This is why Meredith was devastated by Abbey’s death. It was impossible for her to accept that her best friend had abandoned them forever.

“My 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey the day after she passed away,” Meredith’s mother, Colleen, wrote on Facebook.

“I love you, Meredith.”

After putting the letter into an envelope with numerous stamps – Meredith insisted on using lots of them since it’s a long way to heaven – they mailed it.

The address, what about it? “God/Heaven” is what I mean.

Several days later, Meredith asked her parents if God had received her letter, and they said they assumed so.

The parents of the little girl thought that was the end of the story, but they were wrong.

A few days later, Meredith received a gold box with her name and address on it. It was clearly from God.

Mr. Rogers’ book “When a Pet Dies” was in the package, along with Meredith’s note and photo.

Colleen also read a note for her kid.

I am writing to express my condolences to you, Meredith

Abbey arrived safely in paradise. I immediately recognized her from the photo.

Abbey is now well. I feel her spirit in my life, just as you feel it in yours. It was a pleasure having Abbey as your puppy.

Because we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I’m sending you your photo back in this tiny book that you can cherish and remember Abbey by.
