Despite 38-Year Age Gap, Couple Says It Was ‘Love At First Sight’

There is love in all shapes and sizes. In July 2020, a couple from Weston-super-Mare, England, will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary.

Simon Martin and Edna Martin first met in 2003.

The couple met at a concert when Edna was 69 and Simon was 31 and say it was ‘love at first sight’. They got married in 2005, and have been together ever since. It is clear that they have a lot of respect for each other and care about each other.

Besotted Edna Martin, 83, and Simon, 45, are often mistaken for grandmother and grandson, but the pair says they don’t care what strangers think of them.

The couple from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, celebrated their 15th anniversary this summer and say they are still going strong.

The couple was celebrating 15 years of marriage and commitment to one another, showing the world their love.

The Real Fix podcast features real people telling their stories in their own words. Enda said: “When you love each other as much as Simon and I, it’s pretty hard to keep your hands off each other – let alone other parts of your anatomy.”

“We often kiss in the supermarket queue or pinch each other’s bums.

“Most people chuckle or smile. I find it quite sweet.

Simon and I both feel there isn’t enough love in the world – it’s wonderful to love someone and be loved and to express that love.”

Simon said: “I think my parents were a little surprised.”.

They weren’t too enthusiastic about it.

“But to be fair to them, they went along with it because they were happy I found someone.

“I wasn’t looking for anyone.”

Enda’s family has been supportive from the very beginning, and they were there for the couple’s wedding on July 8, 2005. Since then, they have been enjoying each other’s company and love.
