Boy Crawls into Stranger’s Arms at Football Game— His Aunt Hunts Her Down With Powerful Facebook Post

Strangers, regardless of their nationality, politics, or religion, using their own hands to be Jesus’ hands to those around them is remarkable.

Another thoughtful stranger is Mrs. Angela.

Isaiah’s aunt assumed it was over until she met Isaiah at a football game and had a 20-minute conversation with him. She was unprepared for the emotional reunion that occurred two weeks later when her nephew ran into his new friend.

Isaiah grinned as he sat on her lap and placed his head on her shoulder, writes Star Balloon-Bradley, “but I was wrong.” As he walked up to her, Isaiah grinned as he placed his head on her shoulder. Her arms were open to him. Isaiah was rocked and massaged to sleep by this lady as if he was a newborn. It was so cute!”””

Balloon-Bradley was so touched by the selfless act of a stranger that she couldn’t r.e.s.i.s.t sharing the story on Facebook in hopes of tracking down the woman who treated Isaiah so well. Since then, the post has been shared over 314,000 times.

Thankfully, Mrs. Angela was found, and her Christ-like response to the attention was even more admirable.

The complete Facebook post can be found here:

I don’t know who this lady is, but please tell her she’s incredible.” Isaiah said to this lady at our last home game two weeks ago. As if they had known each other for years, he sat next to her and began talking to her. It only lasted approximately 20 minutes. She, on the other hand, left immediately following halftime to pick up her young daughter.

Isaiah noticed her shortly after we sat down at the game tonight. As soon as she waved, he approached her. I had expected their interaction to be the same as before, but I was wrong. Isaiah climbed into her lap and placed his head on her shoulder as he walked up to her. She welcomed him warmly. She rocked and massaged Isaiah to sleep as if he had just been born. It was so cute!

We asked if she wanted us to come get him, but she said that she (and he) were fine! Isaiah has never met this person except for those 20 minutes during the game two weeks ago. I apologized to her tonight and said that I’m not sure why he bothers her so much. She responded that he was not a nuisance and that she would not say anything like that in the future. She said that he was her new friend.

The woman went on to say that she only has one 15-year-old child and that such moments are priceless. In light of the current racial tensions, photographs like this one make me smile because they prove that color doesn’t matter to most people.

That is absolutely not true! Arguing about unimportant issues causes us to lose sight of the simple pleasures of life. It’s my fault for not remembering her name, but I’ll keep it in mind for the next game since I’m confident Isaiah will find her. I love her even though I’ve never met her!

We finally figured out who she is. Her formal title is Mrs. Angela. She’s so sweet, you guys! It’s amazing how God brings people together for diverse causes!

As soon as she found out that I shared this photo with her, she said:

Glory, honor, and applause be to God! As I read Star Balloon-message today, I was struck with emotion. The kind words said about me by Bradley have humbled me. Isaiah is a sweetheart to the core! Because that is how I want to live and love, I pray that others will see Jesus in all of this and realize His love for them. He deserves it, not me!’’’ -Angela.

2nd Update: Thank you for your kind words! This shot has brought so much joy to so many people. As well, I am his aunt, and Thameka S. Miller is his mother’s name. Thank you again! “May the goodwill be increased.”
