Congolese man Luwizo proved that good things come in threes when he married triplets on the same day — after they all reportedly proposed at the same time. Images of the marital quartet have gone viral online.
“It seems like I was dreaming!”, Luwizo told Afrimax English of the unconventional wedding, which went down in South Kivu, located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Luwizo fell in love with Natalie, one of the triplets. After visiting Natalie, however, things took a turn for the worse. Natalie introduced him to her twin sisters, Nadege and Natasha, who were equally enchanted by her new lover. The triplets then reportedly asked Luwizo the big question, which reportedly shocked him so much he almost fainted.
“When we told him he had to marry all of us, he was s-h-o-c-k-e-d,” one of his unidentified wives was quoted as saying of the lifetime three-for-one deal. “But because he had already fallen in love with all of us, nothing could stop our plans since we were also in love with him.”
Luwizo told Newsflash that despite being taken aback by the proposal, he was “obliged to marry all three because they are triplets.”
Needless to say, not everyone was on board with his tri-nuptials.
“My parents don’t understand what I’m doing,” Luwizo, the lamented polygamist said. He added that they didn’t even attend the ceremony.
On the other hand, the wᎥfecta, who had been used to sharing everything since childhood, did not find it odd to marry the same man. The then-brides-to-be were more than happy with the arrangement, with one gushing: “Today we are very happy, as you can see, because our dreams came true without being separated from our husbands, but God heard our cries.”
In the end, Luwizo says he is glad he abandoned his family to marry triplets in tandem.
“You have to lose something in order to gain another,” Luwizo gushed. “In addition, one has their preferences and their own way of doing things.
“That’s why I’m happy to marry the triplets no matter what others think,” the happily married man added. “But there are no limits to love.”
