Stranger Keeps Secretly Visiting Soldier’s Grave, When Mom Finds Out ‘Why’ She Tracks Him Down

We need someone to show us they care when we are experiencing a difficult time in our lives.

Anguish over the loss of a child cannot be compared. Unfortunately, parents whose children are in the military and stationed in far-flung locations worry about their children’s safety every day.

Joseph Villasenor was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force who loved his country more than anything else. This valiant man was killed at the age of 36 after serving for 16 years. His parents were devastated. They couldn’t believe their son was gone. Dealing with the grief was difficult. The couple discussed their son’s untimely death and the mysterious events that followed.

They noticed something unusual when they visited Joseph’s grave at the Garden Park Cemetery in Arlington, Texas: his tomb was covered with lush green grass, while nearly every other grave was covered with dead grass and dirt.

It was impossible for them to understand why it happened.

A few months earlier, their daughter had met an elderly man named Jake Reissig by chance.

Jake had just delivered flowers to the cemetery where his late wife was buried when he noticed Joseph’s sister crying over his grave. Inquiring as to why she was upset, he couldn’t help but approach her. Her entire family was devastated after learning that her brother had died suddenly. He couldn’t console her, but he could show them that he cared by doing something.

Bringing flowers to Joseph’s grave was his way of paying his respects. He also watered the lawn every day.

One day, Rachel and her husband Raymond visited their son’s grave and found it completely covered in beautiful flowers. This made them feel better. Unfortunately, they did not know who to thank for the kind gesture.

Jake was ultimately found to be in charge of the tombstone.

Jake’s good deed brought them to tears. There were no words to express their gratitude.
