After Grandpa Suffers Stroke, Bride Travels 800 Miles To Bring Wedding Dance To Him

The opportunity to bring all your loved ones together is one of the most delightful aspects of a wedding ceremony.

Natalie Browning, a 24-year-old Virginian, was planning to marry Cooper Browning, her true love, in June 2021. Natalie’s biggest sadness was learning that her grandfather would not be able to attend the big day.

Nelson May, her grandfather, is 94 years old and lives in Florida. Two weeks before Natalie’s wedding, he suffered a stroke, which prevented him from traveling.

“My dear grandpa was so excited to dance with me at my wedding and was heartbroken to learn that he couldn’t attend because of medical issues,” Natalie wrote on Facebook.

After that, she invited him to the wedding!

She packed her wedding gown into a pink garment bag and booked a flight from Virginia to Florida a month after her wedding ceremony. A video of her 800-mile journey was eventually shared online. The video shows her transforming into wedding mode on the plane, even finishing her makeup at the airport.

When Natalie caught up with her grandfather in his living room for a “first dance,” her efforts were rewarded.

Natalie said, “He had been looking forward to dancing with me on my wedding night for months, and I’m so glad I was able to give him the chance.” “Because I don’t see him very often, it was a wonderful experience.”

To make him feel appreciated, Natalie would do it all over again, and the trip meant a lot to them both.

This is such a sweet way for her to express her love for her grandfather. Congratulations to Natalie and Coope
